Riyadh: «Dawaie» Initiative Launched at Afif General Hospital
08 July 2018

According to Riyadh Health Affairs, Afif General Hospital has launched «Dawaie» - or My Medication - Initiative, which is an electronic program for dispensing chronic disease medications and following them up, with the aim of providing excellent health services to beneficiaries. It is an easy-to-use program which records data of any patient using chronic disease medications such as diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, thyroid, epilepsy, mental illness, and others; thus, contributing to preventing duplication of dispensation between health centers and hospitals. This will guarantee that every patient will receive his medications on the time specified by the pharmacist (a month, 3 months, or more or less). Also, the e-program sends a reminder message to the patient before the dispensation date, and provides statistics of the chronic disease patients as well as the used medications on monthly or annual basis and at any time.
