Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah has signed today a community partnership agreement with Abdulaziz and Mohammad Al-Ojaimi and Family Charity Foundation, as part of a series of agreements the Ministry of Health (MOH) plans to conclude with charitable societies and organizations, private companies and businessmen. Through these agreements, MOH aims to open new horizons of partnership between the ministry and all segments of society, in order to achieve a comprehensive health development that would have a positive impact on the health of citizens across the country.
Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in providing health services and medical coordination, based on the principles of social responsibility towards beneficiaries.
MOH will design, implement and manage the initiatives agreed upon by the two parties in the field of health development, and will submit periodic reports on the progress of such initiatives and achievements, ranging from an in-depth study on the reality of private efforts in the health field, as well as sponsoring charitable promotion programs in the field. In addition, the ministry will sponsor the non-profit health sector forum which aims to boost cooperation, to create opportunities, to monitor the needs of the sector and to develop quality initiatives. Also, MOH will sponsor a charitable competition to motivate community members and entities to design and implement charitable health projects with actual impact on targeted segments of community and to enhance projects marketing budgets, as well as community partnership programs approved by the two parties.
It is noteworthy that the community partnership program is one of MOH's new initiatives, which aim to engage all components of society to contribute to health development, and opening new horizons of relationship between MOH and society for boosting the citizens' health.
