The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that it will stop releasing weekly reports on the status of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), with effect from today. However, it will continue to release daily reports only, which provides a comprehensive overview of the cumulative statistics, as well as of the general situation during the twenty-four hours preceding each report.
“Thanks to Allah in the first place, and to the colossal efforts of the workers at all health sectors, and the respectable and fruitful coordination with relevant ministries, this action has been taken due to the remarkable decline in numbers of the MERS-CoV confirmed and reported cases,” stated the Ministry. It clarified that only one positive case was reported during the last epidemic week; whereas over this week, till the issuance of this statement, no positive cases have been reported altogether.
