Under Dr. Al-Rabeeah's Chairmanship, MOH Executive Board Holds this Year's Last Meeting

​   On the day before yesterday, at his office, His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, chaired the meeting of the MOH Executive Board, which is the last meeting held this year (1433H).
 
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister extended most sincere thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him, for his generous patronage of the inauguration and foundation-laying of a number of MOH health projects, with a total cost of SR 12 billion. He treasured King Abdullah's description of the MOH employees as "warriors" (mujahedeen); an attribute that encouraged all employees a great deal. Meanwhile, he called upon everybody to do his best in providing best-quality health services.
 
For his part, the MOH Official Spokesman, Dr. Khaled Merghalani, pointed out that His Excellency the Minister of Health extended thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for approving designating land for establishing a number of health projects. Meanwhile, he prayed for Allah Almighty to confer health upon the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
 
Dr. Merghalani mentioned that the meeting touched upon a number of important issues, tightening control on pharmacies, and banning the sale of pharmaceuticals if not prescribed by a doctor, in addition to assigning an office to follow up the implementation of the Ministry's strategies. Among the proposals discussed during the meeting, also, was participating with the Kingdom's regions in tendering and approving technical records, as well as training the directors of training. Besides, a report on the performance executive committees and at health directorates, as well as the MOH Headquarters, was discussed.
 
It is worth mentioning the Board has held eight meetings thus far, and came up from the past meetings, with 42 resolutions.
 
It is noteworthy, the Minister of Health has issued a number of administrative resolutions meant to develop administrative performance, seeking to develop the work of all MOH's departments and sections, and improve the health services and increase productivity, in addition to promoting their relations with patients and paying close attention to their complaints and notices. The resolutions stipulated the formation of an executive board for the Ministry of Health, assigned to lay down the rules and procedures intended to provide healthcare services within the jurisdiction of the Ministry as prescribed by the Health System and its regulations. The resolutions stipulated, also, to form an executive board at each region to follow up the implementation of MOH plans and strategies in the region, as well as evaluating these plans and proposing suggestions for development. That's to be added to forming five specialized committees: a committee for projects and maintenance, a committee for budget, a committee for total quality, a committee for medical supply and equipment, and a committee for patient rights and relations; in addition to analogous committees in each region.
 
The resolutions are intended to develop administrative work, with a view to heightening the performance of all MOH departments and sections, and improving the health services and increase productivity, in addition to promoting their relations with patients and paying close attention to their complaints and notices. The objective assigned to all such efforts is to provide best-quality healthcare services, and verify of compliance with the total quality standards, and development of medical performance, in addition to entrenching a scientifically sound work process, and the realization of integration and objectivity; thereby coping with the world's accelerated changes and developments, especially in the health field.
 
The Minister's resolutions come in line with the directives given by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, May Allah protect him, aiming at completing the march of development and comprehensive renaissance, in a way that ends up in favor of our beloved Kingdom, and improves health services, seeking to meet patients needs and fulfills the aspirations of the Leadership.
