The Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel extended his gratitude to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister, for his generous blood donation and for launching the “Crown Prince’s Blood Donation Campaign,” which will be held annually. The initiative underscores the Crown Prince’s firm commitment to fostering a culture of giving and social solidarity, with the aim of reaching 100% voluntary blood donations and ensuring sustainable blood supplies to support the healthcare sector.
Minister AlJalajel highlighted that the campaign builds on the leadership’s ongoing humanitarian initiatives, including receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and enrolling in the organ donation program, reflecting a consistent approach to safeguarding public health and enhancing quality of life. He emphasized that the Crown Prince’s initiative serves as an inspiring model that strengthens national efforts to promote voluntary health contributions, secure blood and its components for patients across the Kingdom, and enhance the efficiency and quality of healthcare services, in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
The Minister also called on the public to take part in blood donation, stressing that it represents one of the highest forms of humanitarian generosity, helping save lives, supporting hospitals and blood banks, and reinforcing the resilience of the national health system in providing world-class care for all citizens and residents.
