The Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdulrahman AlJalajel, appreciated the Council of Ministers' praise for the "Jeddah Commitments" endorsed at the (fourth) high-level Global Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance, which was hosted by the Ministry of Health in Jeddah with the participation of ministers and experts in the health, environment and agriculture sectors from 57 countries, in addition to 450 participants from United Nations organizations.
He stressed that this achievement reflects the generous support of the wise leadership for international conferences and falls within the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which confirmed that the Kingdom has become a global center for facing challenges.
The "Jeddah Commitments" is a pivotal step in enhancing international efforts to confront this global health crisis led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the aim of pushing the global agenda forward for antimicrobial resistance through effective measures that enhance joint action and implement effective solutions in the coming years to maintain global health and food security
