His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, participated yesterday in the 70th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean held at the WHO Regional Office in Cairo under the theme “United for a healthier future”. The 70th session will last up to Thursday, October 12th, 2023.The opening session was addressed by the Regional Director of the WHO’s Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, the WHO Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom, and a number of guests.During the meetings, His Excellency the Minister of Health also met the Regional Director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari. They discussed the most important health challenges facing the Eastern Mediterranean region and ways to overcome them, to achieve a healthier future and ensure a better life for future generations by enhancing sustainable healthcare in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. At the end of the meeting, he thanked Dr. Al-Mandhari for his efforts as a Regional Director of the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
