MOH to Organize the International Forum for Health Volunteering (IFHV) in Riyadh

The Ministry of Health (MOH) will organize the First International Forum for Health Volunteering (IFHV) in the Kingdom, from October 23rd-24th, 2023 in Riyadh, entitled (The Role of Health Volunteering in Confronting Chronic Diseases). The gathering will last for two days.
MOH explained that the forum targets health academics, health NGOs, health volunteers, and health volunteer departments.
The Ministry stated that: "The forum aims to enhance the concept of integration between all health specialties for volunteering in chronic diseases, shed light on these diseases, and identify some possible mechanisms, in addition to presenting best practices and inspiring experiences, and creating opportunities for coordination and integration with all relevant parties."
MOH added that the forum includes presenting scientific papers by specialized local and international speakers, holding workshops, and dialogue sessions. The forum will be accompanied by an exhibition to introduce visitors to the most prominent volunteer efforts of the participating entities, calling on the target segment to register (click here), with the aim of facilitating their access and optimal benefit from the forum. The Ministry of Health also confirmed that the forum is accredited by the Commission for Health Specialties in Continuing Medical Education (CME) Hours.
It is noteworthy that the forum comes in line with achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, including the health sector transformation program, and based on the strategic objectives of the MOH Health Volunteer Center. The center is one of the health transformation initiatives launched in 2019, in order to enhance the culture of health volunteering and enable volunteers and health practitioners to provide health services, by involving them in reliable and accredited channels for health community participation through multiple initiatives that seek to achieving health transformation goals, facilitating access to health services for beneficiaries, increasing volunteer opportunities, and empowering volunteers in various health fields all over the Kingdom, in addition to achieving institutional excellence in health volunteering.
