The Ministry of Health stated that Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, a member og Makkah Al-Mukarramah Health Cluster, has completed all its preparations to provide health, medical, preventive, and diagnostic services to the pilgrims, by developing an integrated operational plan during this year's Hajj season 1444 AH.
The Ministry indicated that the treatment services include cases of heat stress and other heat-related diseases that are expected to occur this year, as the hospital has set up a specialized center for heatstroke and heat exhaustion with a clinical capacity of 10 beds equipped with water and air pumps, to meet the expected cases during Hajj season this year. As a result of the high temperatures in Makkah and the Sacred Sites, emphasizing that this center is the first at the level of hospitals in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, which works under the supervision of the emergency department to receive patients with heat exhaustion and heatstroke 24 hours a day.
The Ministry stated that the hospital has activated a special section for the improved patients among the pilgrims, with a clinical capacity of 46 beds to facilitate their discharge, in addition to operating (53) beds for the intensive care department, and 21 beds in the burn unit. Emergency clinics were also operated around the clock to relieve pressure on the emergency department operating throughout Hajj season, and the pharmacy department was expanded to increase work efficiency, with attention to training and continuing education for all medical and nursing cadres to qualify them and provide them with medical developments and the latest treatment methods in the world, which is reflected in the quality of performance and health services provided for all.
It is noteworthy that the hospital has a clinical capacity of (500) beds supported by a specialized medical staff and modern medical equipment and follows a system in a scientific manner and principle, and according to certain medical standards for the speedy organization of work. The medical team takes care of the most serious patients and those most in need of treatment.
