A surgical team succeeded in performing a delicate surgery to remove a tumor from the intestine of a patient in Taif Governorate, during a very successful surgery that took 4, all praises be to Allah.Taif Health indicated that the patient came to King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital suffering from pain in the lower abdomen where clinical, laboratory and analytical examinations were conducted, and the results confirmed that the patient had tumors in the colon and rectum, specifically in the small intestine, which are of the type of stromal gastrointestinal tumors. The medical team treating the case confirmed the necessity of immediately conducting surgery because of the seriousness of this case, the chronic diseases the patient has, as well as excessive obesity. The surgery was conducted, and the entire tumor was removed, then the patient was transferred to the inpatient department to follow up on his health condition by doctors and nursing teams until the condition stabilizes and she is discharged from the hospital, Allah willing. It is noteworthy that King Abdulaziz Hospital has performed more than 3,200 surgeries during the first quarter of the current year 2023 AD.
