Najran: 57,000+ Patients Served by Specialized Centers

According to Najran Health Affairs, over the past year, the specialized centers of King Khaled Hospital have provided their services to 57,814 beneficiaries. The Oncology Center has served 4,717 patients, conducted 1,721 chemotherapy sessions, and performed 99 laparoscopic surgeries for the treatment and removal of peritoneal cancer, with heated chemotherapy. 

It said that Prince Sultan Cardiac Center has served 11,890 patients, performed 1,766 cardiac catheterizations, including 699 therapeutic catheters and 39 successful open-heart surgeries. Moreover, the Ophthalmology Center has received 23,651 patients, performed 750 retinal injections and laser vision correction for 721 patients, and performed 1,319 operations, including cataract removal, pediatric strabismus, and corneal transplantation.​

It added that the Diabetes and Endocrinology Center has provided treatment and advisory services to 16,379 beneficiaries, indicating that the Obesity Center served 1,177 patients, and performed 166 operations for obese patients under the supervision of qualified national cadres.

It is noteworthy that, during the past year, King Khaled Hospital has obtained advanced positions in “Wazen” Program and the membership of the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ECMO) and registration certificate.
