The Ministry of Health (MOH) has reiterated the importance of taking the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as the only way to controlling variants and raising the level of immunity after the first dose, highlighting that it is important to achieve herd immunity.
According to MOH's latest statistics, 88 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Kingdom over the past 24 hours; thus bringing the total number to 546,251 confirmed cases, including 2,351 active cases and 449 critical cases.
In addition, 70 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number to 535,260 recoveries. Also, 7 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 8,640, May Allah bestow His mercy upon them.
MOH has also advised everyone to contact 937-Service Center for any consultation and inquiries around the clock, obtaining reliable health information and services, as well as knowing the latest development of COVID-19.
