MOH Advises Those with Chest Diseases to Quickly Register for COVID-19 Vaccine

The Ministry of Health spokesman, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdulaali, stated that the curve of the Coronavirus infection is still going through a phase of fluctuation after the hikes recorded during the past weeks. We are watching them carefully particularly the critical cases, he said, hoping that the preventive measures taken will be fruitful and have a positive impact on reducing infections and returning to normalcy.

Al-Abdulaali revealed that 885,411 individuals have already received the vaccine through 350 centers across the Kingdom, and the number is rapidly increasing. Some of them are drive-through vaccine centers. He said that pregnant women and children have not yet been permitted to receive the Coronavirus vaccine, pending the completion of ongoing studies. He advised people with chest diseases to hurry up and receive the vaccine for their protection. He reminded everyone to register for the vaccine via “Sehaty” app. 

He stated that 302 new positive COVID-19 cases were reported, bringing the total number of positive cases in the Kingdom to 378,002, including 2,571 active cases still receiving medical care, most of whom are in reassuring health conditions, while 486 are in critical conditions.

The MOH spokesman made these statements in the press briefing he held today (Tuesday). The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Kingdom reached 368,926, including 286 new cases of recovery. Five new deaths were also reported, bringing the total deaths to 6,505.

He pointed out that the health services are still provided through all centers and facilities of MOH. «Taakkad» centers have conducted 7,589,160 Molecular Diagnostic Tests «Swab Tests», and «Tetamman» clinics have provided their services to 2,033,517 outpatients. They have also provided health and medical consultations to 28,378,067 beneficiaries through the (937) center. Furthermore, the total number of lab tests in the Kingdom has reached 13, 727,492.
