The Eastern Health Affairs has launched 81 blood donation campaigns across the region and collected 6,350 blood units amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is to be noted that the Regional Laboratory and Central Blood Bank- Eastern Region, for the second consecutive time, has obtained the accreditation of the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), after meeting the accreditation standards and requirements.
According to the Affairs, the accreditation certificate is a step in the path to implementing quality and the objective is not obtaining the certificate but spreading the culture of quality. This initiative aims at providing advanced healthcare services to boost the satisfaction of beneficiaries with the services, to enhance the preventive aspects, and to make the health services closer to them. The lab features several specialists and consultants in various specialties, as well as technical and advisory staff.
