Madinah Health Affairs has activated the central radiology system, with over 60 radiology machines connected and more than 40,000 scan images saved. In addition, the central imaging system serves more than 600 users. Several hospitals have been linked to the system to conduct remote imaging, as reports were generated remotely from the hospitals of Madinah to peripheral hospitals.
Noteworthy, the program has started linking brain clot imaging, as it activates the artificial intelligence system, and then neurosurgery consultants guide and direct doctors in peripheral hospitals through the procedure performed. This contributes to early intervention with the aim of treating patients before they are transferred to main hospitals.
Devices of Pregnancy follow-up clinics in the program were also linked, in cooperation with the healthcare team. Furthermore, the program was linked to MOH’s artificial intelligence program to help doctors and health practitioners diagnose COVID-19 patients.
