Riyadh: Therapeutic Nutrition Clinic Launched at Afif General Hospital.

According to Riyadh Health Affairs, the therapeutic nutrition clinic has been launched at Afif General Hospital. The clinic provides its services to all patients five days a week. This comes as part of the Affairs’ keenness to meet all beneficiaries’ needs by working to provide all required medical specialties.  


Riyadh Health Affairs had earlier enhanced Afif General Hospital with a consultant in gynecology and obstetrics, two consultants in pediatrics and psychiatry as part of the «Visiting Physician» Program, three specialists in internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology, in addition to five resident physicians in nephrology, Intensive care, and emergency medicine.

The Affairs stated that over the past year (2018) health services have been provided to 481,002 patients in Afif governorate, while Afif General Hospital has served 179,643 patients, with 103,289 emergencies and 55,315 outpatients. Besides, the hospital has performed 558 major surgeries and 293 one-day surgeries; thus bringing the total number of surgeries to 851 surgeries in various medical specialties. The hospital has, also, performed 159,206 laboratory tests, 44,608 radiology examinations, and 14,038 physiotherapy sessions. Likewise, ​the primary health care centers (totaling 34 centers) have served 301,359 patients over the same period.
