In the presence of H.E. the Health Minister, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, the Saudi Health Attaché in the United States of America and Canada organized a meeting for Saudi health practitioners working in America and Canada and some health specialty students, last Saturday in Chicago. During the meeting, Al-Rabiah spoke about the future of the Saudi health sector in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 and listened to the attendees' experiences and proposals. He called on them to participate in medical conferences held in the Kingdom and to exchange their experiences with their colleagues in the Saudi hospitals.
The meeting agreed to establish an association of Saudi health practitioners in US and Canada with the aim of upgrading the scientific and professional performance of the association members and achieving thought development and social and cultural communication among them. The association's objectives include: highlighting the Saudi health practitioner's excellence, benefiting from the highly qualified members in developing the health and educational sector in the Kingdom and facilitating the exchange of scientific production and ideas between the relevant organizations and institutions within the Kingdom and North America. They also include helping Saudi students, researchers and patients to get acceptance into American universities, research centers and hospitals, as well as facilitating the members' stay in North America.
