Asir Health Affairs Obtains AHA Accreditation for ALS Programs

​The Clinical Skills and Simulation Center of the Academic and Training Department at Asir Health Affairs has obtained two accreditation certificates from the American Heart Association (AHA) for Adults and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (ALS) programs, that is to be added to a prior accreditation​ for Basic Life Support (BLS) program. This accreditation comes in continuation of Asir Health Affairs developmental endeavors to provide distinguished health services in line with the highest international safety standards, as such BLS and ALS courses are of a great importance to improve the skills, academic and practical capabilities of health practitioners.


These accreditations come as part of a series of local and international training courses, which the Center seeks to provide to all health practitioners; to raise their efficiencies and abilities to handle different medical cases. These courses include BLS, PALS, ACLS, ATLS, Conscious Sedation, Rapid Response, in addition to a number of medical simulation courses. 

It is noteworthy that, in 2018, the Center has provided simulation-based training courses for 3,917 health practitioners to enable them to handle cases of life-saving, emergencies, and disasters.
