Governor of Al-Qassim Receives Minister of Health

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim, has received at his Emirate's office today His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting the region to preside over the first meeting of the Ministry of Health's (MOH) general directors and directors of health affairs in the regions and provinces, at the Mövenpick Hotel Qassim in Buraydah.  
 
At the outset of the meeting, the Governor of Al-Qassim welcomed Al-Falih, wishing him a pleasant stay in the region. After exchanging the cordial conversations, they discussed the health fields in the region. Besides, Al-Qassim Governor highlighted the Emirate's keenness and full cooperation with various health-related governmental departments, as well as achieving the quality to which everyone is aspiring.    
 
For his part, Al-Falih extended his thanks to the Governor of Al-Qassim for the gracious hospitality extended to him and his accompanying delegation.
 
It is worth mentioning that the Governor sponsored during the reception the signing of two partnership and cooperation agreements. The first agreement, which was between the MOH, represented by the Al-Qassim Health Affairs General Directorate and Qassim University, has been signed by the Director General of Al-Qassim Health Affairs, Mutlaq bin Daghaim Al-Kham‘ali, and the Acting President of Qassim University, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Wasil. The agreement aims at training and qualifying, as well as selecting the qualified cadres, in collaboration with the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies (ICRS), in order to attract the Saudi medical competencies form the universities disseminated all over the Kingdom's regions in general.  
 
As for the second agreement, which was between the MOH, represented by the Al-Qassim Health Affairs General Directorate and the Saudi Charity Society for Liver Disease Patients (KABIDAK), it has been signed by Al-Kham‘ali and the KABIDAK’s CEO, Dr. Khalid Al-Khattaf. The agreement focuses on mutual cooperation between KABIDAK and the Al-Qassim Health Affairs Directorate, with a view to improving the level of health services provided for kidney patients in all regions of the Kingdom, and educating the community on types of kidney diseases and ways of their prevention. It also aims at supporting awareness programs on organs donation, particularly with kidney, in addition to scientific researches and field studies related to kidney diseases. 
 
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health, Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Duweila’ and the Undersecretary of Qassim Region, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al- Humaidan.
