The Ministry of Health (MOH) has issued today a resolution mandating Dr. Abdulaziz Sawan to undertake the tasks and responsibilities as the Director of East Jeddah Hospital. Dr. Sawan obtained his MBBS from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. He practiced clinical work at King Fahad General Hospital and King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah.
He joined the George Washington University in the USA and got M.Sc. in Health Facilities Management. After graduation, he worked for Inova Group of Hospitals in Virginia.
After that he worked for Dr. Erfan & Bagedo General Hospital as an Administrative Director and Chief Operating Officer. He then moved to work for the Price Water House Cooper, a global investment company, as a consultant in the health sector-related administrative and strategic consultancies.
This decision comes in line with the Ministry’s approaches to make use of all qualified health cadres within the policies and approaches it adopts to support health facilities with health competencies and distinguished expertise.
For his part, Dr. Sawan has expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Health for his precious confidence, praying for Allah to make him up to the good expectation of everyone, and help him contribute, with his expertise, to upgrading the performance of the hospital and serving the patients and visitors.
