MOH Doubles Efforts to Identify Names and Nationalities of Mina Stampede Deaths
02 October 2015
The Ministry of Health (MOH) keeps on its efforts, in coordination with the competent authorities, to identify the names and nationalities of the deceased pilgrims who passed away due to the deadly stampede incident in Mina, in addition to completing all procedures according to the respective laws and regulations.

Wishing to facilitate the procedures and help families of the deceased pilgrims, the MOH has allocated the Emergency Complex in Al-Me‘isam, instead of Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, to receiving corpses of the recognized deceased pilgrims, completing the statutory procedures, and conducting the DNA testing for the deceased pilgrims’ families existing inside the Kingdom.

As for families outside the Kingdom, they can submit the DNA samples to the health ministries in their respective countries, which will, in turn, coordinate with the Saudi Ministry of Health, to receive the samples and proceed with all the statutory procedures.

Within the same vein, the MOH has provided “937” service (for calling from inside the Kingdom) and phone number: 00966112125552 (for calling from outside the Kingdom); for any inquires about the deceased and injured pilgrims of the tragic Mina stampede incident.
