Al-Falih Visits King Fahad Hospital in Jeddah and Checks on Quality of Health Services Provided for Patients

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Eng. Khalid Abdulaziz Al-Falih has paid today evening a visit to King Fahad Hospital in Jeddah, during which he inspected the different sections of the hospital, met with patients and checked on healthcare services provided for them at the hospital.
He was received by the Director-General of Makkah Health Affairs Dr. Mostafa Baljoon, the Director-General of Jeddah Health Affairs Dr. Mubarak Hassan Zafir, and the Director of King Fahad Hospital in Jeddah, Dr. Hammad Shuja'a Al-Usmani.
The minister visited emergency, isolation and intensive care units to check on quality of health services provided for patients there. In addition, the minister kept a close eye on preparations made by the hospitals to control Coronavirus and the taken preventive and precautionary measures, which contributed to curbing the transmission of infection among patients and health staff.
Likewise, Eng. Al-Falih visited the wounded Yemenis receiving necessary treatment in the hospital and checked on their health status, indicating that the Kingdom is their second country and it will spare no efforts to provide the highest level of healthcare for them. He directed the hospital administration and the medical, technical and nursing staff to exert the utmost efforts to serve the Yemeni brothers.
In a similar fashion, Eng. Al-Falih reviewed a project to expropriate lands to establish new health projects or expand others affiliating to the hospital, stressing his keenness to coordinate with the relevant authorities to reach a solution as soon as possible. In addition, he was briefed on the services provided by the hospital, as well as its modern medical equipment and technologies, making it a model for the hospitals of the Ministry of Health (MOH), as it is equipped with the latest technologies and provided with beds commensurate with the international standards adopted by the ministry to gain satisfaction of the Saudi citizen and maintain his security and safety.
Within the same vein, Eng. Al-Falih addressed all the hospital staff, asserting that the role of the MOH is to provide the best health and therapeutic services for the patients and support the hospitals with all their needs to contribute to gaining patients' satisfaction.
Concluding his inspection tour, Eng. Al-Falih lauded the efforts exerted by those who are in charge of the hospital and urged them to exert more efforts to provide healthcare for the beneficiaries in a manner which contributes to gaining their satisfaction and maintaining their health and safety in addition to improving health services provided for them.
