Al-Shanqiti Named CEO of the National Health Laboratory Program

His Excellency the Minister of Health has issued a resolution mandating Dr. Ali bin Muhammad Al-Shanqiti to undertake, with full capacity, the tasks and responsibilities as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Laboratory Program, starting from the date of the adoption of this resolution.
 
This resolution comes within the framework of the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) trends towards rotating the senior positions; with a view to taking utmost advantage of all the qualified national staff in line with the MOH developmental momentum, in addition to improving the quality of its services.
 
For his part, Dr. Al-Shanqiti has extended his thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Health, meanwhile praying for Almighty Allah to make him up to the good expectations of everyone, and help him contribute, with his expertise, to supporting and developing the health services, in such a manner that achieves everyone's satisfaction.
 
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Al-Shanqiti is a consultant immunologist, and holds Ph.D. degree in immunology and molecular pathology from University of London, UK. Besides, he served as the Deputy Director General of the MOH’s Laboratories and Blood Banks, and Director of the Medical Laboratories before his post as the Director of the National Health Laboratory from early last year. Furthermore, he served as the MOH representative, Chairman of the Scientific Board for Medical Applied Sciences, and Head of the Medical Laboratories Committee at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
