Minster of Health Thanks the Wise Leadership for the Valuable Royal Confidence

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Mr. Ahmad Al-Khateeb, has extended his deepest thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may Allah support him, the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince (may Allah bless them) on the occasion of issuance of the Royal Decree appointing him as minister of health.
 
His Excellency the Minister of Health reaffirmed the keenness and directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (may Allah bless him) to exert efforts and provide the best health care for the citizens and residents.
 
During his meeting with the Ministry's senior officials and employees today, Sunday, the first day of assuming his new job following the issuance of the Royal Decree appointing him as minister of health, Mr. Al-Khateeb said, "At the beginning, I would like to thank the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz for his valuable royal trust, praying for Allah, the Almighty, to make me and you successful. I, hereby, inform you that I have met with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz who reiterated to me his full support for our ministry."
 
In this context, Mr. Al-Khateeb praised the unlimited support our wise leadership is giving to the health sector, expressing his hope to contribute with his fellow employees of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to making use of such support in such a manner that improves health services and helps provide health care. He prayed for the Almighty Allah to protect our beloved country and its rulers and peoples and bestow upon it the blessing of security and stability.
 
Mr. Al-Khateeb said, "The MOH is a service ministry, not like any other service body. By virtue of its concern about human health, we should pay it the utmost care and seek Allah's reward, and whenever we anticipate the reward from Allah; we will spare no effort to provide such care at the best levels."
 
The Minister thanked the MOH's employees for the efforts they exerted in their respective sectors saying, "Thank you for your efforts, you are the ones who built the foundation, and all these achievements, projects, hospitals and centers should be attributed to Allah at the first place and then to your efforts. I have not come to a ministry without achievements or human potentials (our actual capital); you have done a good job. Although some obstacles might have limited the progress in some aspects, for this we should work together to overcome such obstacles in the coming period in order to improve the levels of health services and reach the citizens and residents in all parts of the Kingdom."
 
Mr. Al-Khateeb reaffirmed that he will work with the colleagues at the ministry during the coming period to develop plans which are capable of improving the levels of health services to the extent that befits the Saudi citizens and residents.
 
He pointed out that the ministry will get acquainted with the experience of the best countries in the field of health care, with the aim of transferring the distinctive experience to the health sectors in the Kingdom for serving patients in all parts of the Kingdom. Mr. Al-Khateeb said that he will visit some hospitals and health centers to inspect the progress of work.
 
In conclusion, Mr. Al-Khateeb thanked the former health ministers for the efforts exerted by them during their tenure at the ministry, wishing them success.
