Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Saeed Named Deputy Minister for Public Health

His Excellency the Acting Minster of Health, Eng. Adel bin Mohammed Faqih, issued a decision appointing Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Saeed as the Deputy Minister of Health for Public Health for one year.  
 
Dr. Saeed got his PhD in epidemiology from the University of Texas in 2002, as well as a diploma in the field epidemiology in 1995 and a bachelor of medicine and surgery from the King Saud University.
 
Since 2006 up to present, he has been working as the head of the Family and Community Medicine Department. And from 2009 to date he has been working as associate professor. He submitted research plans, participated in research projects at King Saud University, and served as a mentor of scientific conduct in research projects and supervising and evaluating the participating researchers. Also he worked as a trainer in the field epidemiology programs at the Ministry of Health from 1995 to 1996. Besides, he carried out epidemiological investigation of epidemic outbreaks as well as field supervision of deputies in the field epidemiology program.
 
Furthermore, Dr. Abdul-Aziz bin Saeed is experienced at reviewing data, planning of statistical analysis, producing tables and graphs of the epidemiological surveillance data, creating and implementing plans for research projects, doing statistical analysis, writing final reports either at the community level or in hospitals, in addition to developing epidemiological data analysis programs.
