Makkah Governor Thanks Minister of Health on Success of Hajj Season

Makkah Governor and President of the Central Hajj Committee, HRH Prince Meshal bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz sent a cable of thanks to HE the Acting Minister of Health, Eng. Adel Faqih, on the efforts exerted by all workers in the health sector during this year's Hajj season (1435H).
 
In his message, the Governor said, "Thanks be to Allah in the first place for the success of the last year's Hajj season, and then to the support and directives of the Commander of our dear country, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Allah bless him, for all sectors concerned with pilgrims' service. We would like to thank you, and appreciate the efforts you and all members of your staff have exerted, to achieve the safety and comfort of the guests of Allah."
 
On his part, Eng. Adel Faqih expressed his great thanks and gratitude for the Governor of Makkah, appreciating the unlimited support and generous patronage of health services by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, asking the Almighty Allah to accept the Hajj rituals from pilgrims.
 
It is noteworthy that the MOH has provided many services to more than 488,000 pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1435H. Health centers received more than 329,000 pilgrims, and outpatient clinics in hospitals received more than 111,000 pilgrims, whereas about 28,000 pilgrims were received by emergency sections in hospitals, while the number of inpatients reached more than 37.00 pilgrims. That is to be added to providing on-site treatment for more than 16.000 pilgrims by emergency and field medicine teams. The last year's Hajj season also witnessed performance of 19 open-heart surgeries, 330 cardiac catheterizations, 988 kidney dialysis sessions, and 55 gastrointestinal endoscopy.
