Dr. Al-Wehaibi: MOH Applies an e-Program to Run Holy Sites' Hospitals
04 October 2014
The Head of Hajj Information Technology and Statistics Committee, Dr. Abdullah Al-Wehaibi, said that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has applied a minor e-program to run hospitals of the Holy Sites. He added that the implementation of the Hospital Running Minor e-Program in the Holy Sites utilizes the computer to access data, and reduces reliance on paperwork. It covers, besides, a wide range of functions, such as registration, hospital admission, referral, deaths registration and etc.

He added that the implementation of this program by the Information Technology and Statistics Committee will play a vital role - Allah willing - in bringing success to the Hajj season from various aspects, including the transfer of data in no time, and the analysis of such data for preparing accurate stats that help take the right decision at the right time.

Dr. Al-Wehaibi further noted that MOH has supported the Holy Sites' hospitals with the Assets Management and Follow-Up System; one of the latest programs that have been introduced to the Hajj season. This system aims to increase the utilization of the medical and non-medical assets of hospitals. It has many advantages, including direct tracking of assets and their movements, recording of events, and preventing waste and loss of any asset or equipment of the hospital.
