The Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference 2014 Concludes its Activities by Holding 10 Synchronized Conferences

The Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference 2014 concluded its activities yesterday by holding 10 simultaneous sessions, which discussed status of Saudi nursing, provision of health care services to patients and families, activation of communication with the local manpower concerning the future of the nursing profession in the Kingdom, as well as reviewing the philosophy of administrating hospitals and medical laboratories, that is to be added to touching upon biomedicine engineering, cardiology, technological management of radiation sections, nuclear medicine, medical qualification, future leaders of the Saudi health sector, radiation future, in addition to several other interactive workshops.  
 
On the last day of its activities, the Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference discussed the future of medical qualification and laboratories, the latest developments in cardiology, and future of radiation in the Saudi Arabia. It also finalized the Saudi nursing conference and organized a number of simultaneous workshops.
 
The conference and exhibition, patronized by the Ministry of Health (MOH), included more than 300 medical companies –most of them are regional and international healthcare providers, agents, suppliers and distributors-, given that the event was meant to shed light on the latest products, techniques and services provided for the growing Saudi audiences by health care specialists and medical service providers; with the aim of providing a platform for the exchange of expertise and knowledge, developing communication to establish effective partnerships, and discussing opportunities for promising businesses.
 
The Deputy Minister of Health for Supply and Engineering Affairs, Dr. Salah al-Mazrou, said the ministry has affirmed that its support to the Saudi health exhibition and conference came to confirm the importance of providing the best medical services to the citizens in an easy way and in accordance with the highest quality standards, pointing out to the ministry's plans to construct 63 hospitals during the next five years, taking the clinical capacity up to about 68,000 beds in an average doubling the current capacity of 38,000 beds as per the latest statistics. 
 
It is worth mentioning that nine leading healthcare companies have participated in the exhibition as official sponsors, including Raka Medical Company as a diamond sponsor, and Saudi Siemens, Al- Salihiya Medical, Saudi Draiger, Nawah Medical, Sponsorship and Planning Company ltd for Supplying Hospitals, Mada Serve for Medical Supplies and Services, G. E. Health Care and Saudi-German Hospital Group as platinum sponsors. 
 
Earlier, the Ministry of Health had confirmed the importance of the Saudi Health Exhibition and Conference 2014, saying that it stands as an important step towards building bridges of communication, enforcing the strategic partnership between the public and private sectors, and encouraging the transfer of knowledge and exchange of experiences with the most prominent regional and international entities, in such a manner that serves the efforts aiming to deal effectively with the emerging challenges and exploits the available chances to develop the local health care sector.
