Al-Humaid and al-Qady Apprise Health Projects at Al-Jouf Region
18 March 2014
His Excellency the former Member of the Saudi Parliament Dr. Abdel Wahed Al-Humaid said that the inauguration of some health projects in al-Jouf region will bring happiness to the citizens and people of the northern regions as whole, noting that the newly-established projects will provide high-level medical services for residents and will meet their health needs.

He further noted the establishment of such projects will accomplish several goals, such as providing the required medical services for citizens and reducing the high turnout at specialized hospitals in the main cities. “People living in distant places find themselves forced to leave their homes and head for the big cities for treatment,” he noted.

Moreover, Dr. al-Humaid stressed that King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital, Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Hospital, and Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Medical City will give a boost to the health services in al-Jouf region, noting that such medical facilities were well-equipped to suit scholars and students who would occupy various positions therein, whether such posts were medical or occupational in the medical field or otherwise. Finally, al-Humaid hailed an idea that the establishment of medical projects is linked to the development of cadres who were outside for education, concluding that this is a historic day for the citizens of al-Jouf region.

For his part, His Excellency the former Member of the Saudi Parliament Hamad al-Qady said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is currently passing by a developmental leap in all domains, including the health services which witness new projects from time to time.

“The inauguration of such health projects and laying the foundation stone of other projects, worth over SR 1 billion, in al-Jouf region are a great achievement,” said al-Qady, adding that these health projects include King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital, Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Hospital, the Specialized Dental Center, and the Diabetes Center in Sakakah.

He further noted that the afore-mentioned projects are the greatest all over the history of al-Jouf region and come as part of other procedures adopted by the Kingdom, represented by the ministry, to confront the increasing demands on health services. He also prayed for almighty Allah to make these projects useful for all citizens.

“Such developmental projects come also within the framework of the comprehensive renaissance witnessed by the Kingdom under the rule of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, May Allah protect him,” he noted.

Al- Qady further underscored that the ministry is working on a basis of an institutional work methodology that ensures the full exploitation of resources as part of its endeavors to put the pillars of the National Project for Integrated and Comprehensive Healthcare.

He concluded that such medical edifices constitute a great developmental leap in the domain of health services, expressing his hope that these medical facilities meet the aspirations of al-Jouf residents as well as the directives of the rulers, May Allah protect them, who exert utmost efforts to upgrade the health services in this generous country.
