Three Saudi Consultant Physicians Interrogated for Non-Compliance with the MOH Regulations
12 February 2014
His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah has given his orders to the Medical Irregularities Committee to take the statutory actions with three Saudi consultant physicians, working in the Ministry of Health (MOH): due to working in the night shift at a private hospital in Riyadh, thus violating the MOH regulations, upon which the physicians working at governmental health premises are prohibited from working in the private health sector.

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Rabeeah ordered the MOH Private Health Institutions' Violations Consideration Committee to take the statutory sanctions against that private hospital, pursuant to the adopted regulations.

It is worth mentioning that this decision reflects the MOH's continual efforts to ensure that the employees at the MOH hospitals and private health sector are working in concordance with the adopted rules and regulations. Besides, the decision highlights the transparency approach pursued by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in dealing with all mass media, meanwhile seeking to inform them of the serious procedures carried out by the Ministry to promote the performance of health facilities and health practitioners, in a manner that ensures improving the quality health services provided to citizens.
