MOH Fines a Medication Warehouse and a Pharmacy SR 90.000

His Excellency the Minster of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, approved the decision of the Private Health Institutions' Violations Consideration Committee at Asir Health Affairs General Directorate, to fine the owner of a medical warehouse in Asir SR 90.000, as well as closing the warehouse for 60 days; due to violating the Law of Pharmaceutical Installations and Products, as the warehouse is unlicensed.
 
Within the same vein, Dr. Al-Rabeeah approved another decision for the same Committee fining the owner of a private pharmacy in Madinah SR 40.000, in addition to closing the pharmacy; due to finding some expired medicines and herbal products, which are unregistered by the Ministry of Health (MOH) as well, aside from some medicines which are unpriced, thus violating the Law of Pharmaceutical Installations and Products.
 
The MOH emphasized that it would take all the statutory procedures, including the cautionary closure, towards any health institution that does not comply with the required quality standards of health services; in an endeavor to oblige such institutions to improve their conditions and redress all irregularities observed there, pursuant to the statutory procedures.
