His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, met with the awareness activist in the health empowerment domain, Dr. Samia Al-‘Amoudi, who is locally and internationally well-known with her participation in the field of breast cancer. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Rabeeah discussed with her the efforts of the Ministry of Health (MOH) to support health education events in the field of cancer.
Within the same vein, Dr. Al-Rabeeah extended his thanks to Dr. Samia for her unstinting efforts and local and international activities in the field of breast cancer, as well as her efforts on raising awareness and control of this disease; through the permanent and active participation in all awareness activities and events on breast cancer, in addition to the transfer of her expertise with cancer patients in all local and international forums.
For her part, Dr. Samia commended the support and encouragement by Dr. Al-Rabeeah to health awareness programs, especially those of the early detection of breast cancer. It is worth mentioning that she submitted to His Excellency her project, meant to raise awareness and promote the health culture amid the people of the new generation, including fe/male students at the secondary level, stressing that this small project is grounded on sound information derived from specialists under the title: “Health Bag for Health Empowerment”.
