400 Ambulances Costing SR 130 Million Supplied for all Regions of the Kingdom

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, has approved awarding the bid of supplying a number of 400 high-equipped ambulances at a cost of SR 130 million, to supply all regions of the Kingdom, during the 11 months, that are allocated for the year 1435H. This was part of the procedures undertaken by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in an endeavor to quickly meet the patients’ needs and provide efficient service for them, as well as supporting the 937-Service (MOH Emergency Call Center), running around the clock to provide emergency services.
 
Within the same vein, the Chairman of Tenders Examination Committee, Mr. Muhammad Al-Seba‘i, pointed out that these cars are of the advanced types, that contain all the required equipment. Furthermore, he underlined that the Ministry has ensured a total number of 1.700 ambulances over the past five years; of which 300 ambulances have been provided in 1431H, 300 ambulances in1432, 300 ambulances in 1433, and 300 ambulances in 1434; that is to be added to 100 other ambulances distributed on newly opened hospitals, as well as providing 400 ambulances as part of the plan of the next year 1435H.
 
He went on adding that these ambulances will contribute, Allah Willing, to the speed of transferring the patients who are in need to be transferred from health centers to hospitals, and to improving and promoting the health service provided to patients, in addition to the speed of response in the delivery of patient. It is worth mentioning that all these ambulances will be distributed to all regions of the Kingdom according to the capacity of hospitals and the number of health centers, within the framework of the Ministry's efforts to upgrade the performance level at health facilities, and putting into effect the MOH slogan: “Patient First”, in addition to paying thorough attention to serving patients, earning their satisfaction, and preserving their health and safety.
