His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, has met with Her Excellency the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Maha al-Rabat, on the sidelines of the Second International Conference for Mass Gathering Medicine, being currently held in the Kingdom's capital city, Riyadh. During the meeting they have discussed a number of issues relating to the promotion of health cooperation between both countries.
Within the same vein, Dr. Maha Al-Rabat has highlighted that the Kingdom possesses the accumulated experience and expertise in Mass Gathering Medicine, through its successful management of the Hajj and Umrah seasons each year, despite the challenges of the infectious diseases and epidemic outbreaks.
She went on adding, “The International Conference for Mass Gathering Medicine, that is hosted by the Kingdom, as represented by the Ministry of Health, is an opportunity for all Arab countries and nations of the world to get to know the Kingdom’s expertise in this field. Also, it is an opportunity to exchange the experiences in this field of Mass Gathering Medicine, especially that it is attended WHO experts and officials.”
