King Abdullah Gives Orders to Transfer a Patient from Jazan to Riyadh for Treatment

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaiz Al Saud, may Allah protect him, has given his orders to transfer the patient Khaled Muhsen Shaeri from Jazan to Riyadh to be treated at King Fahad Medical City (KFMC). Shaeri is suffering from abnormal obesity, as his weight has reached 610 kilograms, making it impossible for him to move.
 
This was revealed by His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Rabeeah, who, in response, extended his deep thanks and heartfelt gratitude for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for this gracious humane gesture which materializes his unstinting keen interest in preserving citizens' health and providing high-quality health care services for them. Meanwhile, he expressed his appreciation for King Abdullah's generous support for health services, which has been reflected in the tangible promotion of such health services, fulfillment of citizens' health requirements, as well as bringing into reality the MOH's motto: “Patient First”. He prayed Almighty Allah to confer health, well-being and blessings on the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and to award him for his benevolent deeds.
 
Immediately after the issuance of the Royal directive, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has formed a specialized medical team to pay a visit to the patient in Jazan, so as to determine a plan for transferring and treating the patient, as well as determining the necessary needs in such cases. Requirements have ben secured, and an IC medical crew from Jazan Health Affairs Directorate has been tasked with following up the case on a daily basis.
 
Moreover, the competent authorities have coordinated with one another, and ensured the validity of transfer procedures. And after completing all the requirements for receiving the patient at KFMC, underway is preparing the final arrangements for transporting and treating him, in coordination with the relevant authorities in the Ministry of Defense, as represented by the Air Transport and Air Medical Evacuation, the Ministry of Interior, as represented by the Civil Defense, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, King Fahad Medical City, and Jazan Health Affairs Directorate.
 
The Ministry of Health wishes speedy recovery for the patient.
