Second Deputy Prime Minister Inaugurates Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital in Riyadh

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, may Allah protect him, His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Second Deputy Prime Minister, Chancellor and Special Envoy for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, inaugurated Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital in Riyadh on Sunday, 18/6/1434H (corresponding to 28/4/2013).
 
On his arrival to the hospital, His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin was received by His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Vice Governor of Riyadh, as well as His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Minister of Health, and MOH Deputies and Vises.
 
It's worth mentioning that His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz had lift the curtain on the memorial plaque and launched the Hospital Portal, then he watched a visual presentation on the Ministry of Health entitled “The King's Vision for a Nation's Health” and another presentation on the hospital.
 
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Minister of Health, had delivered a speech during the ceremony, saying “I would like to extend my gratitude for the kind words of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his keenness to the health of Saudi citizens; the matter that urged the Ministry to go ahead with its strategic plans in the coming 10 years for establishing the national project for integrated and comprehensive healthcare in its modern concept.
 
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, May Allah protect him, gave also directions to achieve the values of justice, comprehensiveness, quality, high-standard services and transparency through such projects and plans with the aim of ensuring the safety of citizens and having their satisfaction.”
“Under such directions, the MOH has adopted the slogan “Patient First,” affirmed Dr. Al-Rabeeah.
Dr. Al-Rabeeah has expressed his deep thanks for the inauguration of Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, saying, “The Ministry of Health is honored to receive such auspices from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and more importantly, this ceremony comes along with the eighth anniversary of swearing allegiance to King Abdullah, May Allah protect him; such important occasion that brought welfare, bestowal and prosperity at a time when our country witnesses Comprehensive renaissance in all fields.”
 
He added, “The auspices of King Abdullah are going on; as a proof of that, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has honorably inaugurated and laid the foundation for a range of 547 health facilities on 3/12/1433H (corresponding to 19/10/2012); given that, such facilities are considered the most prominent event in the history of the ministry. On our part, we will, Allah Willing, design and establish 125 hospitals and 1671 health centers during the coming years to complete such remarkable achievement.”
 
He further pointed out that the last years have witnessed a great expansion of projects serving the health sector; knowing that, the Ministry of Health has, during this period, inaugurated more than 74 new hospitals and 769 centers for primary health care and gave licenses for a wide range of specialized health centers as well as 5 medical cities providing a high-standard level of specialized medical care.
 
His Excellency Minister of Health went on to say, “We expect a prosperous future for health services after the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah protect him, has adopted the last week a range of important decisions pertaining to support and development of MOH march and allocated more than SR 15 billion for constructing 22 medical complexes, a hospital, and specialized centers for growth and behavioral disorders of children. Besides, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has approved to buy a plot for constructing these projects and other important developmental programs and established a health investment corporation to make use of technology and health industries.  
 
Dr. Al-Rabeeah mentioned also that loyalty is a feature characterizing the Saudi people and rulers alike, saying, “The achievement that we witness today is a model of loyalty of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, May Allah save him, towards one of the Kingdom sons His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, May Allah forgive him; the matter that proves that we live in the nation of peace and the Kingdom of prosperity and loyalty.”
 
Dr. Al-Rabeeah mentioned also that such great projects and programs will double the number of beds as well as improving performance standards in the health facilities in accordance with the latest international standards to maintain privacy and safety. Besides, the Ministry of Health has affirmed the concept of safety, quality and accreditation, given that, nearly 70 hospitals and health facilities have received domestic and international certificates for the first time in the history of the Ministry.
 
The Minister of Health has concluded his speech by showing his appreciation for His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Second Deputy Premier, Chancellor and Special Envoy for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, due to the inauguration of Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Hospital in Riyadh. Afterwards, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Minister of Health, has handed the memorial shield to His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who delivered it to His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz in recognition of his efforts.
 
Thereafter, Prince Muqrin paid a visit to the hospital departments, through which he had a look over emergency, radiation and laboratories departments. Also, Prince Muqrin visited the intensive care departments and hypnosis rooms where he made sure that the patients receive high-quality services. Finally, His Excellency Second Deputy Premier took a lot of souvenir photos.
