King Abdullah Attends Graduation Ceremony of 500 Physicians and Pharmacists

On Sunday the 8th of June, 2011, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz will patronize the graduation ceremony to be held by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties in celebration of the graduation of 500 physicians and pharmacists. The graduates have completed their graduation requirements and received their certificates in 38health specialties. The graduation ceremony will take place at Prince Sultan Grand Hall in the Diplomatic Quarter, Riyadh.

His Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness for sponsoring the celebration. HE said that the King’s sponsorship is an extension of his support and dedication to the healthcare sector in general, and to the development of the national health workforce in particular. In recent years, the health services sector in the Kingdom has witnessed remarkable development as a result of the attention and dedication to this vital field.  While the number of physicians, technicians and other specialists trained in advanced international centers has increased, the presence of medical centers and distinguished health colleges within the Kingdom also makes it possible for more and more health specialists to be trained locally.

Moreover, HE noted that the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques indicates HH’s concern for strengthening the nation’s level of scientific training and professional skill, thereby providing distinguished healthcare services to citizens in all parts of the Kingdom.

HE Dr. Al Rabeeah praised the King for demonstrating his generosity by patronizing various scientific and cultural events. HH’s attendance at the graduation is an honor to the entire healthcare profession.
