The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah bin AbdulAziz Al-Rabeeah, hosted the Business Ambassador at UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and the delegation accompanying him; representing the University of Oxford, Imperial College and a number of major hospitals in the UK.
The British delegation's visit comes in response to the visit of His Excellency the Minister of Health to the UK in last April, where he signed an agreement with the Department of Health in the UK.
They discussed issues of common interest, including the development of training and scholarships programs to accept a greater number of MOH expatriates, in addition to the participation in the Visiting Physicians Program and in studying the medical research conducted in the field of diabetes in cooperation with King Fahad Medical City. The visiting delegation discussed the importance of conducting researches on infectious diseases. They agreed to assign coordinators between the two sides to activate these programs; benefiting the health sector in the Kingdom.
