MOH, within its strategy to extend its health services to the different parts of the Kingdom, is undertaking the works of establishing 43 hospitals of different bed capacities in the different provinces, said MOH official spokesman Dr. Khalid M. Al-Marghalani.
He said MOH regularly sends committees for recruiting medical staff of different specialties from a number of Arabic and Islamic countries, including India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, for ensuring utmost utilization of its health facilities. "The committees, which comprise highly ranked Saudi medical specialists representing the different medical fields, are assigned to convene interviews for applicants in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, which finalizes their registrations and classifications upon their arrival", he said.
According to Al-Marghalani, about 5000 physicians are required by MOH for operating the new health facilities.
