Coordination Committee Continues Meetings

The MOH high coordinating committee for awareness against H1N1 has continued its meetings under the chairmanship of Dr. Mansour bin Nasser Al-Hawasi, the MOH Deputy Minister for Executive Affairs. The meetings aim at pushing the efforts for ensuring success of the national campaign for awareness against H1N1 under the moto: Your Abidance Your Protection, which is executed by MOH in coordination with governmental and other health sectors, said MOH Official Spokesman Dr. Khalid Al-Marghalani.
 
The committee, which is formed of representatives from MOH, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and Information, and the Ministry of High Education, is assigned to coordinate health awareness works and supervise training programs.
 
Moreover, and in order to ensure smooth implementation of the training and awareness plans to be supervised by the committee in coordination with the four ministries, in accordance with the national plan for awareness against H1N1, an affiliate committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Dr. Al-Hawasi and membership of representatives from MOH (MOH Official Spokesman Dr. Khalid Al-Marghalani), the Ministry of Education (Dr. Fahad Al-Tayash and Mohammed Al-Hanini), the Ministry of High Education (Mohammed Al-Hayzan), and the Ministry of Culture and Information (Abdul Rahman Al-Hazaa, Ibrahim Al-Saaqub, and Saleh Al-Mighailith).
 
According to Al-Marghalani, the two committees work in full coordination to implement the national campaign for awareness against H1N1 through awareness programs aiming at boosting the level of awareness of all sectors of the community, including students at the different study levels, family members, and employees in the fields of health, education and media.
 
The committee has prepared in the past few days some video and audio awareness films, part of which are being presented in the different Saudi TV channels as well as MBC and Arabia channels.
