The Health Services Council (HSC) has reviewed in its meeting headed by HH the Minister of Health on Sunday 25/06/1429 a number of issues including the HSC budget for the year 1429 and the third symposium on the role of Saudi physicians in the health system, which is scheduled to be held in the Eastern Province in Muharram 1430. The council asserted its support to joint work and coordination between the different bodies in the health area, a matter which will enable physicians and specialists to program their visits to the health facilities in the different provinces.
The council discussed also the issue of bed management and the effects of internal and external factors on bed movements for ensuring availability of beds in cases of emergency. In this regard, the council confirmed the importance of home care and establishment of units for nursing care.
The meeting also discussed the Tenth International Codification of Diseases and its implementation in the Kingdom.
The council approved in its latest meeting a plan proposed by the MOH Directorate of Health Economics for implementing the system of health accountings, which is essential for health planning.
