Al-Mane reviews Al-Baha health projects

The Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane has reviewed during his meeting with the deputy governor of Al-Baha province HH Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mohammed bin Saud yesterday at his office in the MOH premises the steps of executing the project of "a family doctor for each family" in Al-Baha city and Beljurashi district. The meeting also reviewed the project of declaring Al-Baha province as a bilharzia free province within the current year.
 
The MOH Official Spokesman Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Marghalani said in a press statement after the meeting that the two officials discussed the health situation in the province as well as the developmental projects of current health facilities and primary health centers.
 
He said MOH has already started the application of the project of "a family doctor for each family" in Al-Baha city and Beljurashi district, notifying that 43 primary health care centers have been approved for the province till 1427.
 
He said Al-Mandaq hospital has been erected, whereas works are currently underway for equipping and furnishing Al-Aqeeq hospital, the overall bed capacity of established, finalized and ongoing projects being 2108 beds. "A total amount of SR659,169,265 has been expended since 1424", he said.
 
He said Al-Baha province will be declared a Bilharzia free province within the MOH strategy of declaring the Kingdom as Bilharzia free country.
 
The meeting has been attended by MOH deputy ministers and a number of MOH officials.
