Dr. Al-Shaibani Appointed as Manager of King Fahad Hospital

In line with the developmental steps taken by MOH for upgrading performance at its health facilities and utilizing all medical and administrative staff for supporting this goal, the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Mane has announced the appointment of Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Shaibani as an Executive General Manager of King Fahad Specialized Hospital in Dammam.
 
Dr. Al-Mane expressed in a press statement his appreciations to HRH the Governor of the Eastern Province and HRH the Deputy Governor for the great support they are providing to the health services in the Eastern Province. He said a large budget has been allotted to the hospital for utilizing its capabilities for providing the best services to the people of the region. The hospital will provide treatment services for chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, hereditary blood diseases, limb transplantation, etc.
 
King Fahad Hospital in Dammam, which has been opened by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is the most advanced specialized reference hospital to be established by MOH in the Eastern Province. It has been established within the project of the Health Belt Reference Hospitals with a total cost of SR1,092,672,000 and a capacity of 633 beds.
Dr. Khalid Al-Shaibani is a consultant in kidney transplantation with high administrative experiences. He has occupied a number of leading positions in King Faisal Specialized Hospital and Research Center, including the positions of the Medical Training Manager, the Chairman of the Committee of Pharmaceutical Mistakes, Head of the Kidney Transplantation Unit, etc. He is currently occupying the position of the Deputy Manager of Medical and Clinical Operation at the hospital since 2002.
