Hajj preparatory committees hold ninth meeting

The MOH Hajj Preparatory Committees Chairman Dr Rida M. Khalil headed yesterday the 9th meeting of the Hajj Preparatory Committees which was held at the MOH premises in Riyadh. The meeting discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the progress achieved in organizing training courses. Agreement had been reached with the Saudi Heart Society for training a number of MOH personnel on pulmonary resuscitation, with special concentration on first aid and emergency personnel, taken into consideration that about 6500 MOH personnel were trained last year on pulmonary resuscitation.
 
The meeting also reviewed the works of the Hajj manpower committee as well as the works of the developmental projects at the health facilities in the sacred shrines. It also looked into enlightening pilgrims on the health services provided during Hajj and Omra in line with a proposal submitted by the directorate of the health services provided during Hajj and Omra. The Directors of Health Affairs in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madeenah Al-Munawarah were contacted during the meeting for updates on ongoing preparations.
 
The meeting was convened in line with the preparations of the Ministry of Health to provide the best health services to the pilgrims of the 1428 season.
