Personal care specialists hold meetings in Riyadh

The activities of the meetings of personal care specialists and officials of GCC ministries of health shall start at 10 am, Saturday 16/05/1428H at the Four Season Hotel in Riyadh. The meetings aim to prove the ability, competency, and effectiveness of personal care to curb contagious diseases, especially following some recent WHO reports which referred to the death of two million people every year due to diseases related to diarrhea, most of whom being children under the age of five.
 
According to the study, which has been conducted by Dettol, about 45% of the population in South Africa are not aware that hand washing is the easiest way of combating diseases. Also, about 10% of them do take care to wash their hands after excretion.
 
Some prominent international experts shall attend the meeting which is organized by the General Health Council. A number of diseases are known to be controllable through personal care, including colds, coughs, influenza, hepatitis B, food poisoning, trachoma, dysentery, diarrhea, typhoid, etc.
 
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall be represented in the meetingsw by Dr. Tariq Ahmed Medani, the consultant of the Minister of Health and member of the General Health Council.
