MOH Secretary for Executive Affairs and Member of the Health Services Council (HSC) Dr. Mansour Al-Hawasi headed yesterday at the MOH Meeting Hall an HSC meeting on behalf of the Minster of Health and HSC Head Dr. Hamad Al-Mane. Attended by all members, the meeting discussed a number of issues, including activation of HSC works, coordinating reception of and transferring emergent cases, the proposed commission for accrediting health establishments, the national record of diabetes, the recommendations of the nursing symposium, etc.
The meeting took a number of decisions, including approving the national standards for child growth, establishing national banks for stem cells taken from the umbilical cord, issuing the regulations controlling organ donation by living non relative individuals, recommending the establishment of a national company for unified purchasing, ratifying a strategy fro primary health care in the Kingdom, establishing a national center for substitute medicine under the supervision of MOH, and establishing the central council for quality of health establishments.
