The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, announced the launch of the “Wa’ed” track. It is one of the tracks of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program in its fourth phase. It aims to train, empower and qualify national cadres and talents through technical and vocational training programs provided by specialized academies.
The Ministry explained that this track, in line with its training outcomes, aims to meet the requirements of the Saudi labor market and raise the efficiency of human capital in the health sectors, as they are among the most promising strategic sectors in the Kingdom. The track focuses on the training programs that support private sector institutions in promising activities and contribute to meeting requirements of the labor market with qualified and well-skilled national cadres. It also includes on-the-job training through scholarships that begin with employment in technical and vocational specializations. In addition to that, it provides training programs that are not available in the Kingdom for newcomers or those with experience, in coordination with health facilities in the private sector.
Last August and September, the Ministry of Health held a workshop with the participation of a number of private health facilities, to introduce “Wa’ed track”, its objectives, and how to benefit from it. The Ministry’s cooperation with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program comes within the framework of joint efforts with the relevant authorities, besides the strategic directions which aim at establishing national human capabilities.
The Ministry called on the facilities wishing to develop their national cadres to join WA’ED track and
