can experience the symptoms of digestive disorders, including
heartburn, burping, bloating, and abdominal pain. Usually the reason is
one the following
Constipation:
Is a disorder suffered by the digestive system, and can be described as de difficult and frequent stools.
Symptoms
- Lack of regular bowel movements.
- Abdominal pain and swelling.
Treatment:
- Eating a large amount of fresh and well-washed vegetables and fruits.
- Eating fruits with a high percentage of fiber that helps treat constipation, such as figs and apricots.
- Increase your fluid intake. Drink at least 1.2 liters (six to eight glasses) of fluid a day.
- Taking right amount of laxative after consulting the doctor.
Diarrhea:
Is the passage of loose, watery stools and/or having bowel movements more frequently than usual.
Treatment:
- Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration.
- Avoiding foods that have high levels of fat.
- Medications to treat diarrhea in adults can be dangerous for infants
and children and should only be given with a doctor’s guidance.
- Taking the antibiotic after consultation with doctor if the diarrhea as a result of food poisoning.
- Using oral rehydration solution (ORS) if necessary.
Abdominal Pain and Nausea
The term abdominal
pain is generally used to describe pain originating from organs within
the abdominal cavity leading to nausea and vomiting which stop after the
stomach empties its contents.
Symptoms:
- Abdominal Pain
- Constipation or diarrhea
- Disorders of the digestive system.
Treatment:
- Avoid taking anything by mouth until vomiting and nausea stop.
- Drinking small amounts of fluids frequently to avoid dehydration.
- Taking right amount of anti-nausea medications and analgesics after consulting the doctor.
Dehydration:
Infections most often occur in the
summer. The dehydration is one of the most serious diseases that could
threaten a person's life, especially children. It occur as a result of
delay in the treatment of gastroenteritis.
Symptoms:
- Bouts of abdominal cramps, vomiting and diarrhea with changes in stool odor and color
- Patient's anxiety and strong need for drinking fluids as a result of losing a large part of water and salts.
- Gradually dry the body, including skin, tongue in addition to sunken eyes, lack of urine, and pallor.
Treatment:
Using oral rehydration solution (ORS)
in sufficient quantity and with sufficient speed, drinking a lot of
drinking water, and consult the nearest health center.
Prevention of Dehydration:
- Personal Care and Hygiene, such as washing hands before preparing and eating food.
- Protecting food from flies and dust.
- Washing and rinsing tools used.
