Asthma during Hajj

he patient with asthma may experience may experience a deterioration in their health during the Hajj, because Hajj rituals require being in crowded places and sometimes full of dusty
, such as places of throwing stones or being in places with polluted air of car exhaust during Nafrah of Arafat or Mina. This patient also is prone to stress due to the overcrowding in the streets or in houses. Therefore, he should consider the following tips:
Check up with the physician To make sure that the situation is stable before traveling.
Secure bracelet around the wrist, including pilgrim name and age, diagnosis of disease, and treatment of disease.
Bring necessary medicines such as asthma inhaler.
Take the medication prescribed by your doctor regularly.
Regular use of controller inhaler before doing any physical exertion, such as circumambulates (Tawaf), Sa'I or throwing stones.
Avoid Overcrowding, such as throwing stones during the night, or performance circumambulate (Tawaf) and Sa'I in the late hours of the night.
Avoid going to crowded and poorly ventilated places, as much as possible.
Go to the clinic as soon as signs of a status asthmaticus if you do not see an improvement after using an over-the-counter medication.
It is better to start taking cortisone tablets under the supervision of your physician before going to the Hajj, if the case is unstable or when or when the patient is susceptible to status asthmaticus easily.
