Following the scientific literature, especially in the health domain, and the health affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we can easily appreciate how there is discrepancy in its national health indicators, especially that for the communicable diseases. This is attributed to the multiple resources from outside the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other health sectors. On the other hand, the national public health programs seem not to organize efforts in documenting and publishing their health indicators and reports.
Hence, this unit has an ambitious plan towards making the MOH, represented by the Assistant Agency for Preventive Health, as the main source for all health indicators for communicable diseases and other public health events on the national level.
